Training them to respond the same proves to be a tad difficult, however...Ms.Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00349852232655523048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489135.post-76227276654235255422010-10-22T07:28:30.626-04:002010-10-22T07:28:30.626-04:00Well congratulations, you have met someone with ma...Well congratulations, you have met someone with manners! In the south "sir" is a term of respect and not used as much as it should be (in MY opinion). I'm use to hearing "ma'am" since that is what I taught my son to say and to be honest, I want my class to say it.Mrs. Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07008584625935743130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489135.post-42919189870362375802010-10-22T01:57:39.662-04:002010-10-22T01:57:39.662-04:00I felt old when my students started calling me &qu...I felt old when my students started calling me "Grandma" by mistake instead of "Mom" Ugh!renjenekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16307638493064586983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489135.post-62995445717211951082010-10-22T00:21:52.991-04:002010-10-22T00:21:52.991-04:00I love "ma'am." I tell them it makes me feel respected. Doesn't bother me. Incidentally, one of my kidlets DOES say, "O Captain, My Captain." She makes me giggle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489135.post-4591785447344252062010-10-21T23:31:09.662-04:002010-10-21T23:31:09.662-04:00Over the years my teacher name has gone from Ms. D...Over the years my teacher name has gone from Ms. Debbie to Mrs. Stewart. I remember thinking when the name change occurred that it was a sign of respect but it made me feel old. I liked being viewed as a young spirited preschool teacher and all of the sudden I was considered a respectable grown-up. I still can't decide which one I like best:)Deborahhttp://www.teachpreschool.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489135.post-56326566638761739052010-10-21T17:44:33.030-04:002010-10-21T17:44:33.030-04:00It was absolutely a show of respect, and you earne...It was absolutely a show of respect, and you earned it!
